Todays show was divided into to main parts. The first half of the show was dedicated to interviews, sound bites and phone calls with listeners that focused on the hot button issue of gay rights vs proponents of constitutional amendments defining marriage as exclusively between one man and one woman. Maggie Gallagher, of the National Organization for Marriage, advocated for the amendment; and host Sean Astin’s friend Todd advocated for marriage equality.

The second half of the show was the first “micro-debate.” Two willing twitter followers squared off over the issue of Citizens United, the Supreme Court decision allowing for the use of unlimited corporate money in political campaigns.

Also, we aired another portion of our interview with Patty Duke and did a quick review of the Movie of the Week, “The Ides of March.”
