Known for his acting work, in films such as ‘Goonies,’ ‘Rudy,’ and the ‘Lord of the Rings’ trilogy, Sean Astin’s dream has always been to host a political talk show.

Now in its second season, ‘Vox Populi,’ is the “voice of the occasionally interested people.” With his online podcast, Astin hopes to provide a forum for “divergent viewpoints and a high standard of civil discourse.” He chats with John Phillips about the project and how he got interested in politics.
